Catching and moving piglets
To pick up a piglet:
1. Lift the back leg of the animal, taking care not to snatch it as you do so (Figure 2)
2. Support the chest with your other hand (Figure 3)
To hold the piglet:
1. Hold the piglet against the side of your body
2. Place your other hand under its head to support it.
To place it down:
1. Lift the back leg of the animal, taking care not to snatch it as you do so (Figure 2)
2. Support the chest with your other hand (Figure 3)
To hold the piglet:
1. Hold the piglet against the side of your body
2. Place your other hand under its head to support it.
To place it down:
- Lower the piglet to the ground and ensure both front legs have touched the surface before lowering the back legs to the floor
- Releasing your grip.
